While fans in parts of Florida and now South Carolina are enjoying the McRib, the McRib is also making an appearance on the menus of select Ukraine locations. McRib fan Joseph found the McRib at one of the locations in his area recently.

2016 US McRib season coming to an end
While some locations never saw the McRib again this year, others that did see the McRib are now seeing it fall from the menu. In some places the sandwich is already gone. In other markets, there is a push to have all advertising removed by Christmas. Perhaps McDonalds is going to leave a stack of McRibs for Santa, or perhaps the Hamburglar is buying out inventory to get as many as he can for himself. Continue reading →
McRib has returned in El Salvador!
While the McRib is just starting to return in the US market, it has been on the menu in El Salvador since October 20th. The McDonald’s El Salvador limited time offering appears to be offered as traditionally served in the United States. Their current promotion is 2 McRibs, paired with the McPatatas (potato wedges), and Soda for $9.45 SVC (around $1.08 US).
If you find a McRib make sure to report it http://mcriblocator.com/report.html and send us a photo of your receipt (showing location and date purchased as well as your McRib order) to photos@mcriblocator.com . Thank you!
2016 US McRib coming back to …
We have received information regarding the upcoming 2016 US McRib season! Our long-time friends from the McDonald’s Association of NEPA (Northeastern Pennsylvania) have informed us the McRib will be back on their menus starting November 7th! They also expect the McRib to be on their menus through the end of the year. We will be providing more specifics to the participating locations shortly and then information about potential early releases in this region as we receive it.
Elsewhere:
In the past the McDonalds locations in NEPA received their McRibs a bit earlier in the cycle than many locations in the lower 48 Us States. This leaves us optimistic that we will see it spread out to other locations around or shortly after November 7th.
Unfortunately, it is not all good news. A fan recently contacted a corporate owner of many McDonalds locations in New York, and Connecticut and was told that the McRib was not returning there this season. This would also infer that there will not be a nationwide release, rather a continuation of the trend where each location/region decides if/when to offer it.
If you happen to find the McRib, please report it at http://mcriblocator.com and then if possible take a photo of your receipt showing the McRib purchase and email that to photos@mcriblocator.com so that your sighting can be updated to confirmed. With your help we can get the McRib into the hands of as many fans as possible. Thank you!
McRib returns in Spain for 2016 appearance
Once again the McRib has jumped onto the menu for McDonalds customers in Spain. We were tipped off by Emilio with the following photo of his McRib.
While advertised as the BBQ Rib sandwich, this variation is served on what appears to be a cornmeal topped bun, a bit different in composition than the bun used on the traditional US version.
Here are a few more shots from McDonalds Spain
What do you think of the Spanish version of the McRib? Comment below to let us know if you think you would like this bun or the traditional bun more.
McRib Returns to Malta
About a week ago we received word that the McRib had returned in Malta (sorry for the delay, I had been ill). The offering in Malta is of the traditional McRib variety, however is advertised as part of a duo of saucy sandwiches. The McRib’s partner is the Chicken Sensation, a chicken sandwich with honey mustard.
The nutrition page for the McRib mentions that the sandwich is back by popular demand confirming that it is possible to get the sandwich back if enough people ask for it..
We will keep an eye out for other McRib offerings world wide and let you know when we find them.
Make sure to keep reporting your McRib sightings at http://mcriblocator.com and emailing your McRib receipt photos to photos@mcriblocator.com Thank you!
