When will the McRib be….

We have been fielding a high number of requests asking “When will the McRib be at” some location. Here is the latest we know. As some of the locations that received the McRib early are now seeing it fall from their menus, there are others that have just started seeing the McRib arrive. The most recent sightings were in Texas, Louisiana, and Puerto Rico. Our original intelligence report indicates a more widespread return in November. This intelligence has not yet produced what exact time nor exact location it will return.

In the interim, we suggest checking http://mcriblocator.com (including our blog) for the latest information, and suggest utilizing the Find feature to find the nearest potential McRib availability to you!

This is where you come in. If you happen to find the McRib, please report it at http://mcriblocator.com and then if possible take a photo of your receipt showing the McRib purchase and email that to photos@mcriblocator.com so that your sighting can be updated to confirmed. With your help we can get the McRib into the hands of as many fans as possible. Thank you!

The Legend Returns

The McRib has again returned to another part of the globe. If you are Guatemala, rejoice as the McRib is now back on your menu too!

Rather than a new take on the ever popular sandwich, the McRib here appears to be the same offering as in the United States.

Thank you for the report Daniel!

McRib Roundup

So far this US season we know the McRib has been spotted in numerous parts of the country. While initial reports were limited to Northeast Pennsylvania, we later saw this expand across the rest of Eastern Pennsylvania, and into West Virginia. We later received word from McDonalds Utah that participating locations there would offer the McRib (later finding out some locations are not starting there for another week). This afternoon we saw the McRib release expand into parts of the Chicago, IL metro.
While we haven’t heard how long the release will last, one can estimate based on previous years the McRib will likely be around for another few weeks, hopefully into October. We are also hopeful that the location offering the McRib will expand. It is possible that we are going to see varied availability at different times.

Moldova McRib Variation Available

With the McRib’s return now in at least Northeastern Pennsylvania, we also have received word (Thank You Pierre!) that a variation of the McRib is now available in Moldova as well. Through the use of an online translator service, we see this variation comes with mustard sauce, horseradish sauce, finely chopped white onion, pickles, and a corn bread bun.
English Pierre indicated he paid roughly $3.64 for the medium Pork Sandwich meal, which is alike pricing here in the United States for a McRib sandwich.

The picture shows either the mustard/horseradish sauce peaking through or perhaps even corn itself on the sandwich. From the Photos Pierre shared with us, we can see that there appears to be none of whatever the yellow actually is.

Initial 2015 U.S.  McRib Release Limited

We have been reporting on the 2015 return of the McRib with hopes the imminent return would be nationwide, or at least be available in multiple regional markets. Our investigation thus far has provided that the initial return may only be in the Northeastern Pennsylvania region. As is always the case, each restaurant has the option to bring back the McRib when they would like. It appears the Northeastern Pennsylvania region is exercising this option to bring back the fan favorite a bit earlier this year.

While this is great news for fans in this region, it is unfortunate for fans outside it. All is not lost, we did get the expected response of “typically fall” from a few locations around the remainder of the U.S. This keeps our hopes up for an eventual more widespread return later this year.

If you find a McRib make sure to report it http://mcriblocator.com/report.html and send us a photo of your receipt (showing location and date purchased as well as your McRib order) to photos@mcriblocator.com . Thank you!

McRib to return in US Late Summer 2015

We have just received word that the McRib will again be making an appearance within the United States. While it is still uncertain how many locations will be offering the McRib across the country, we do know that one area that will be offering it is Northeastern Pennsylvania. @McDNEPA tells us that they are planning to bring back the McRib at the start of September and will keep it on the menu until later in the month of October, or as supplies last. Some of their restaurants will offer the McRib starting the last few days of August for fans to start their McRib feasts as soon as possible.

If that wasn’t enough good news, @McDNEPA also tells us that they plan to offer the McRib at the same price points as last year, single sandwich at $2.99 (plus tax), Medium Extra Value Meal at $4.99 (plus tax), and will also retain the ever popular add a McRib to ANY Extra Value Meal for only $1 (plus tax) more!
