We received an email this morning from a McRib fan that had stumbled onto an <a href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/no-national-launch-mcrib-amid-menu-changeup-155818420--finance.html\" target=\"_blank\">Associated Press story<\/a> announcing that the McRib would be available on a franchise by franchise basis. Apparently the rapid release of new products this year has caused some difficulties for some of the McDonalds locations. We <a title=\"McRib to return in November?\" href=\"http:\/\/kleincast.com\/blog\/blog\/2013\/10\/03\/mcrib-to-return-in-november\/\" target=\"_blank\">earlier speculated that this <\/a>may be the reason for late release, and also correctly pinned the limited availability on the new Mighty Wings that are being offered.<\/p>\n<p>Based on where we have had confirmations this far, it may not be a stretch to assume states that have not had it yet are not likely to have it this year. States that have not yet had confirmations:<\/p>\n<p>Connecticut<br \/>\nDelaware<br \/>\nDistrict of Columbia<br \/>\nMassachusetts<br \/>\nMaryland<br \/>\nMaine<br \/>\nMichigan<br \/>\nNorth Dakota<br \/>\nNew Hampshire<br \/>\nNew Jersey<br \/>\nNew York<br \/>\nRhode Island<br \/>\nVermont<br \/>\nWest Virginia<\/p>\n<p>The majority of these states are in the Northeastern US, which may indicate a different offering may make it&#8217;s way to the menu (McLobster?) or that they are expecting the Mighty Wings to sell better in this region.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s try to help out friends in states where the McRib is not available by providing them with confirmed sightings so that they know where they may have to drive to get their McRib fix!
