For the first time, fans are rejoicing as the McRib arrives in France. From October 21, 2025 through November 24, 2025 McDonalds fans in France will have the opportunity to try the McRib. The McRib is being offered as the standard toppings with the addition of cheese, and fresh salad. Rather than being submerged in BBQ sauce, the sauce is drizzled onto the pork patty. This is part of a collaboration with the Parc Astérix amusement park in Paris. Enjoy them while you can!
After a weekend of playing phone tag to try to track down when the fall 2025 US McRib release will begin, I was able to identify that the large scale release will kick off November 11th, 2025! This timeline matches up with the conclusion of the current Monopoly promotion, and will be about a full month earlier than the start last year. Several of the contacts I made mentioned that this date was on the in-store planning calendar, so confidence is high on this date.
Unfortunately, some locations I called either had no idea when the McRib would return, or indicated they did not believe it would be returning. With such a small window of time before the release begins, it would seem that some markets will opt out of the McRib this season. I had no luck with finding fall 2025 McRib release details in the New England states, as well as some locations in the Mountain States. On a positive note, not all of the Rockies will be without the McRib. The stores I reached in the Denver area indicated the November 11th release date was on their calendars.

The McRib has returned in multiple markets for 2025, and one market has had their first taste since 2011!
In what has become a yearly occurrence, the McRib has returned in Central American countries. Currently the McRib is being offered in Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. This year there are again three variations, classic, bacon, and a new jalapeño option (Guatemala only). Note that in 2023, the McRib was offered with a jalapeño option as well. The trend seems to be to alternate the jalapeño and onion ring options.
After a 14 year hiatus, the McRib has returned in Latvia! While this prior release escaped our notice, we did not miss it this time. At the same time, the release of the McRib in Estonia appears to continue despite the original suggestion it might only last a few weeks. Also included is Lithuania

They are also offering a BBQ Bandit sandwich that includes a beef burger, cheese, bacon, onion rings and bbq sauce. It is possible that the McRib sauce is being used on this burger.
Original Post: After a multiple year wait, the McRib is back in New Zealand for a 2025 appearance! As noted by The New Zealand Herald, the tip off to the return of the McRib came as one customer noticed an error in the ordering kiosk showing the McRib as being sold out.
The last time the McRib was in New Zealand in 2019 (so short we missed it) and in 2015 and prior to that for the Olympic Games. Also noted tin the article, the release is typically very short in the country. Hopefully everyone in New Zealand that wants to try the McRib has an opportunity to get one!

Today (December 3, 2024), is the official 2024 US McRib release day!
Based on the amazing support of fans, we can see that it appears most locations have started well in advance of this date. Further, it appears that this is a nationwide release as we only are missing confirmations in a handful of states.
McRib prices currently range from $3.99 in Forest Grove, Oregon to $7.89 in Kodiak, AK with an average sandwich price of $5.63. There are a few places offering promotions for discounted McRibs as an add-on to a meal, and a few where buying multiple also offers savings. The best values thus far have been at locations offering a free sandwich of your choice for completing the survey found on the receipt.
Thus far the greatest price difference in the same town is in Spring, TX where one location is selling the McRib for $7.29 and a location nearby is selling the McRib for $4.89. Hopefully the first location made an error when entering the price!
Now that the McRib is on menus, the next questions is for how long. While the promotion is limited to how long supplies last, the planned duration this year appears to reach into later January 2025! One fan shared the response they received when asking about the McRib availability, and this indicated January 25, 2025 in their New York area.

The McRib Return has started at McDonalds and they are now starting their advertising push in advance of the McRib returning. It appears that this year the theme is more of a throwback to the original Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer stop motion movie. While some locations have already started offering the McRib, McDonalds is advertising the official kickoff will be December 3rd at participating locations. See our map for the latest.
