As we roll into fall in the United States, minds begin to ponder if the McRib will see a 2024 release here in the United States. Earlier this year, the CEO of McDonalds said the McRib would in fact be back. The CEO did not however indicate when to expect the McRib here.

Recently, a text messages was sent from the McDonalds system with a test message indicating that something about the McRib would be happening around October 16th. These messages went out to followers in the UK. For UK fans that received the message, the linked URL takes them to a page with a 404. A return of the McRib in the UK is a long time coming, with the last time offered in 2015!

Back stateside, I did some saucy sampling to see if I could find out more about the US 2024 McRib release. After sampling across the United States McDonalds locations, it appears that the McRib will return. However, the McRib is not likely to return until sometime in November or December. Several locations indicated a general uncertainty if the sandwich would be back. Stores typically have at least a one month lead on promotions, indicating October is likely too soon. A few locations did indicate that they believed this would once again be more of a limited release. Some locations only knew it was coming, but were unsure if their store was participating in the promotion.

We will continue to look for a more concrete timeline for the McRib and will share that information as it becomes available.
