McRib 2012 Photo Contest

With the flux of McRib confirmation emails coming in, we like to look for and share unique photos of the McRib and/or promotional material around the McRib. Today we noticed that the McRib promotion is calling the McRib “the Ultimate Pork Sandwich” and the title is fitting (at least from our point of view).

As we count down the days until the return of the McRib, we would like to have a friendly contest of who can provide the most unique photos (family friendly of course) of the McRib and/or McRib promotional material. Send your picture to photos@mcriblocator.com before December 20th and we will sort through and showcase the images we think are best. Following this, we will ask that you vote on which photos you like most and the winner will receive one of our McRib Locator pens.

If/when you find a McRib, please mark your sighting at McRibLocator.com and be sure to send us a photo (photos@mcriblocator.com) of your receipt showing the purchase so that we may mark it as confirmed.

McRib Confirmed Sightings Review 11/14/2012

With the flurry of reports coming in, we thought we would share an image of the latest confirmed sightings so that you can more easily see if there is one near you. Confirmed McRibs availability appears to be focused in Texas, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska. Considering just a week ago the McRib was only in Texas (as well as San Salvador internationally), it is interesting to see how it’s availability is now distributed.

Keep in mind you can restrict your map to see only confirmed sightings by selecting “Only Confirmed Sightings” and clicking submit in the search dialog to the lower right of the McRibLocator.com map. You do not need to put in a range of dates to search to utilize this feature.

If/when you find a McRib, please mark your sighting at McRibLocator.com and be sure to send us a photo (photos@mcriblocator.com) of your receipt showing the purchase so that we may mark it as confirmed.

Mcrib está de vuelta

While many McRib fans in the United States are still awaiting the return of the McRib, we have confirmed that it is back in El Salvador thanks to a tip from one of our fans (Andy). Upon loading the El Salvador McDonalds twitter page the image on the left is of the McRib. In reviewing their posts it appears that the McRib returned there around October 26th.

When viewing their website, we see the McRib is also in the mix of featured items as well.

It certainly is exciting to see that the McRib’s return is not limited to only the United States. We of course welcome sightings from around the world, so any and all sightings are welcome.

If/when you find a McRib, please mark your sighting at
McRibLocator.com and be sure to send us a photo (photos@mcriblocator.com) of your receipt showing the purchase so that we may mark it as confirmed.

1st McRib of 2012 Season

As we earlier reported, the first confirmed McRib sighting was in El Paso, TX and was sighted by Erica A. Erica actually had her first McRib yesterday, following a lunch time desire for french fries. An additional interesting tidbit is that the McDonalds nearest Erica was closed for remodeling, thus she ended up at this location. Erica didn’t capture a photo of her receipt yesterday, however met up with her husband today for some saucy love at McDonalds and provided a receipt to acknowledge confirmation.

Thank you Erica for your confirmed sighting, and also congrats on providing the first McRib confirmation of the season!

We also received a few reports of McRibs being available at other locations in Texas today, however have not yet received receipts to confirm these sightings.

If/when you find a McRib, please mark your sighting at McRibLocator.com and be sure to send us a photo (photos@mcriblocator.com) of your receipt showing the purchase so that we may mark it as confirmed.

We recently discussed the availability of the McRib in Spain. As an update to this development,  Estela Alonso Fraga offers a picture of a McRib poster found at one of the McDonalds in Spain.

While the McRib Locator map does default the focus of the map to the United States, it is certainly possible to report a sighting globally.  If you find a McRib anywhere globally, please make sure to report it on the McRib Locator so die hard fans know where they need to go to get their fix.
