We were tipped off by Jan Eric Andersson that the McRib has arrived in South Korea. Provided was the following photo from what appears to be a release party there for the sandwich and related contest.
Their YouTube clip showing their advertisement has the patty taking a rather odd fall from above.
It appears that they are running some type of contest with what they are calling the “Lucky Burger”. Having the McRib is lucky enough, adding a contest makes it a Very Lucky Burger. See their contest page here.
It appears they will be serving this McRib variant through January 29.
We received a confirmation (thank you Orlando) this weekend that the McRib has arrived in the Dominican Republic for the first time!
While McDonalds has had a presence in the Dominican Republic since 1996, we haven’t yet been able to track down any official dates on availability. We will continue to track down more details and pass them along as they become available.

Great news for our friends in Canada, as we previously reported, the McRib would be making a long awaiting return in Canada this year. Just in, we have had our first confirmation from Canada. The confirmed sighting was in Niagara Falls, Ontario! Thank you to Kate Ip for sending this information to us! We now wait to see if the McRib will be widely available in Canada, or a limited release. At any rate, finally McRib fans in Canada do not need to leave the country to get their fix!

We have just received a confirmation for the McRib from a McRib fan (thank you Juan) from Guatemala! Additionally, we found that the launch appears to have been today or yesterday based on their Facebook and Twitter accounts. We have included their current promotional images below the confirmation receipt below.

We have just captured details about a Chicken McRib sandwich becoming available today (August 29, 2013) nationwide in Malaysia.
First tipped off by @worldofsharlene as she was about to try the new Chicken McRib, we quickly were able to track down that this new variation of the classic is available for a limited time in Malaysia.
The Chicken McRib is available from 11am-4am daily while the promotion lasts. As the picture hints, you may order a single or a double patty. They describe it on their facebook page as ” Juicy ribbed chicken patty cooked to perfection, amazing taste of sweet & tangy barbecue sauce, zesty pickles and slivered onions wrapped in a warm, cornmeal bun – just one of so many reasons why the Chicken McRib is awesome!!”

Just in from an email confirmation and from the Twitterverse, the McRib has returned in the United States for the 2013 season. Currently the McRib can be found in the Mile High City of Denver, CO as well as in surrounding locations along the I-25 corridor. @MrEerieMist feasted on a McRib in Porter, CO, and Mike emailed a photo of his receipt from Westminister, CO (and grabbed the first confirmed sighting of the season). @tobykdotcom also shared some of the signage at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Centennial, CO. Note that in the photo from @tobykdotcom the promotion for purchasing a second McRib for a mere single dollar will return again this season for some locations.

While the late August roll out is a bit earlier than typically has been the trend these past years, the early September release sounded within reason per our last post in July regarding the production spinning up. We started seeing some reports filter in Thursday August 22, 2013 in the Rocky Mountain State, and now with confirmation we start the pondering of where might the McRib show up next, and how long might it be staying around.
