I may be cheating by not sharing my -first- experience, but my love of McRibs is well known to my circle of friends. After several seasons of McRib feastings it was suggested that I try to eat 100 McRibs in a month and a friend gave me a piece of paper that said “Dean’s Hot 100” at the top with room below for hashmarks representing each morsel of porky goodness consumed.

This was in 1995, a full 9 years before the release of Supersize Me, I might add. The employees at the McDonald’s a mile from my workplace grew to know me and were accustomed to my order (TWO McRibs, no pickles, no onions, extra EXTRA sauce and a medium fry). On more than one occasion I caught an employee pointing in my direction and muttering “That’s him.” Heheheheh

Well, I failed. A mere 54 McRib’s consumed, and one hybrid McChicken dunked in McRib sauce, and 10 pounds gained.

It was an experience I will never forget, and never try to repeat. 😛

Its funny, I don’t remember eating McRibs as a kid. I am not even sure when it was I got addicted. For the last 5 years or so I have definitely been eager to have them in the fall but not sure how much I had them before that. But they are definitely one of my favorite meals now!

Just sent in a late season confirmation email, hope it made it!
